We have the first and only Guesthouse in Tacloban City!
It’s an airconditioned house with 6 dormbeds, 1 Japanese room for two and an orchid garden. There is free coffee/tea and Wifi for the guests. Free use of the kitchen and the laundry area. We also have a barbecue grill.
The Guesthouse is three minutes away from the New Bus Terminal - where you get transportation to anywhere in Leyte and Samar.

Price:
A night at Ron and Fire’s costs only P300.00 per person for a dorm bed, and P600.00 for the Japanese room which is good for 2 persons.
How to get there :
1. We have a tricycle service to fetch you from the airport and bring you directly to the guesthouse for P150.00
2. Take a 20-minute, P15.00 jeepney ride to the heart of the city. Get off at McDonalds. Hop in a smaller jeepney with a signboard that says “New Bus Terminal”( 5 to 10 minutes, fare is P7.00 per head) and get off at Kristina Heights, where we can fetch you.
3. Take a Spider Yellow Cab from the airport to the guesthouse. The reasonable price would be around P200.00.

From the New Bus Terminal
Walk north towards the direction of the main city. About 200 meters from the Terminal to your left is a paved subdivision road, that is Kristina. It’s a stone throw away from the Terminal. Please look for Block 23 Lot 47. We are the house with huge clumps of bamboo as our border fence. You can also ask where the “Kano” lives. The neighbors will point you to our house.

What to do around Tacloban City:
Wall Climbing
Bukid Outdoor Shop offers wall climbing. For P60.00 you can climb till you drop. They also sell outdoor gears for hiking, camping, mountaineering, and surfing.
Waterfalls near the City
A recent discovery, a waterfalls hidden in the mountains of Camp Pitik in Palo just forty minutes outside Tacloban .Maps towards the waterfall site is available. A day trip for picnic and swimming is most ideal. The locals are very helpful and will point the way to the falls for you.
Sto. Niño Shrine and Heritage Museum
The infamous mansion built by Imelda Marcos during the heyday of the Marcoses. It is located in Real Street, Tacloban City. Sto Nino Shrine houses paintings of the 14 stations of the Cross done by Filipino artists, wooden bas-relief of the legend of the First Filipino man-woman (Si Malakas at si Maganda); tastefully decorated guestrooms of varied Filipino motifs; image of the Holy Child; a collection of original paintings by Fernando Amorsolo; spacious ballroom; and other priceless collector’s items.

Rafael’s Farm
A 30-minute drive to the north of the city is Rafael’s Farm. A garden restaurant of scenic beauty and relaxation . Dine amidst flowers and orchids and partake of their homegrown organic food.

San Juanico Bridge, San Juanico Strait
San Juanico Bridge is located in Brgy. Cabalawan, Tacloban City. It connects the islands of Leyte and Samar. San Juanico Bridge is the longest and most beautifully designed bridge in the Philippines.
San Juanico Strait is the narrowest yet the most navigable strait in the world with beautiful islets and infinite whirlpools. Enjoy the picturesque views, it is most ideal to walk the length of the bridge in the afternoon to catch sunsets.
Tadyaw Beach Resort , Tolosa Leyte
Located in Tolosa Leyte ( 45 minutes away from Tacloban), Tadyaw is a well maintained beach resort with an impeccable landscaped garden. The beach has fine volcanic black ash and clean blue waters. Caving
Nearest to Tacloban is Sohoton National Park in Basey just off San Juanico Bridge.
The Tourism Office in the Municipality of Basey provides excellent tour guides for a hassle free caving. Ideal for non professional, amateurs, and family trips.
Explore the three caves of Jiabong in one day. The ultimate Langun – Gobingob Cave in Calbiga offers more for serious spelunkers. Calbiga is one hour away from Tacloban. Jiabong is an hour- and a half trip from Tacloban.
